The title says “romance” for lack of a better description, though it’s not very “romantic”. After all, he’s… huh, Adachi, you know.
WARNING: Possible spoilers for Persona 4 ahead. Also, this mod is a bit more explicit than other social links in-game, so think of a M rating, more or less.
Update 14/07/23: Added version for Persona 4 Golden 64 bits.
Update 28/01/22: Added a scene before the Golden ending, after defeating the last boss. Requirements are having maxed Adachi’s social link, and having invited him to your room at rank 5.
Update 20/01/22: Made the mod compatible with Aemulus Mod Manager, which fixes most of the issues of the previous mod, like the incompatibility with Ayane’s social link. Installation instructions have been updated.
This mod expands a few scenes of Adachi’s social link in Persona 4 Golden (Steam version 32/64 bits). Namely, it expands the Rank 3 event, adds an entirely new event to Rank 5, a new version of the Accomplice ending (where the actual stuff happens), and a new event before the Golden ending.
There’s also a little addition in the “good route” towards the end. And the Hunger arcana was changed to Lust, as in the original Japanese.
To unlock the new version of the Accomplice ending, you’ll have to invite Adachi to your room at Rank 5. Otherwise, you’ll get the original version of the Accomplice ending.
Also, the scene before the Golden ending only happens if you have maxed his social link, and invited him to your room.

Installation
1) Download and install the PrerequisiteInstaller.exe (https://github.com/Pixelguin/Persona.PrerequisiteInstaller/releases/tag/v2.2.1). Follow the instructions of the installer. Choose “manual” if you want to approve the installation of every component, or “quiet” if you want it to install everything automatically.
2) Download and extract Reloaded II (the file called “Release.zip” at this page: https://github.com/Reloaded-Project/Reloaded-II/releases/tag/1.24.1
3) Run Reloaded-II.exe and click on the plus icon at the left. Navigate to your P4G installation folder (usually C:/Program files/Steam/steamapps/common/Persona 4 Golden) and select P4G.exe. This will add P4G to Reloaded II.
4) Copy the “adachi_romance_mod” folder to the Mods folder of Reloaded II (the Mods folder will be created in the same folder that contains Reloaded-II.exe). Wait for Reloaded II to show the mod and all its dependencies. You may need to restart the program before it downloads everything.
Now, clicking on the Narukami icon at the left will show all the installed mods for Persona 4. Enable the mods “Persona essentials” and “Adachi Romance Mod” by clicking on them (the red plus icon means they’re enabled). “Persona essentials” should be moved to the top of the list, so it gets maximum preference.
5) Launch the game through Reloaded II, or create a shortcut from it to run the game. If you run Persona 4’s original .exe, you’ll get the vanilla game instead.

Installation
1) Copy the ROOT_E.xsb and ROOT_E.xwb files to your game’s SND folder (usually at C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Persona 4 Golden\SND) and let them overwrite the originals. Don’t forget to make backups of them first!
These files just add some audio.
2) Set up Aemulus Mod Manager (you may have done this step already if you have other Aemulus mods installed).
-Download the latest version of Aemulus at https://github.com/TekkaGB/AemulusModManager/releases
-Open AemulusPackageManager.exe and click on the gear button at the top. In Output Folder, select your “mods” directory (usually at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Persona 4 Golden\mods). If you don’t have a mods folder, create it in the above path.
-Click the Unpack Base Files button below.
3) Place the “Adachi Romance-Aemulus” folder of the mod inside the “Packages/Persona 4 Golden” folder of Aemulus. If you click the Refresh button in Aemulus, it should now show all the mods you have ready to install. Enable the ones you want to use, and click the Build button (looks like a hammer).

Again, you may already have done this step if you used other mods for P4 Golden.
Known issues (both versions)
-In the scene that leads to the new Accomplice ending, if you choose the standard Bad ending options, like “blackmailing Adachi” or “not burning the letter”, the animations will be a bit messed up at the end of the scene. There may be also some graphical glitches when Adachi leaves the room the first time, and they seem to happen at random.
-Some animations may show a bit of clipping or be rough around the edges. Keep in mind that there’s currently no proper tool for editing events in Persona 4, so this was done mainly with a hex editor and TGE’s binary templates.
